About

Embarking on its educational journey in 1981, Vinayaka Missions finds its genesis in the establishment of the Thirumuruga Kirupananda Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal (TKVTSS) Medical Educational and Charitable Trust. A pivotal moment followed in 1982 when Dr. A. Shanmugasundaram, the Founder-Chairman, laid the foundation of Vinayaka Mission's College of Pharmacy in Salem an institution that might function as the pioneer for Vinayaka Mission's educational endeavors.

In the year 2001, Vinayaka Missions attained the esteemed "Deemed to be University" status, a distinction bestowed by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India. This recognition, bestowed under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, was a testament to the institution's unwavering commitment to academic excellence, the highest standards of education, and infrastructural facilities. This marked a transformative milestone as Vinayaka Missions ascended to the status of Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation (VMRF), solidifying its standing as the 48th University in India.

With an expansive team comprising nearly 5000 staff members, including distinguished faculty, technical experts, and other professionals, Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation (VMRF) is dedicated to fostering excellence in education. Our commitment is to make the educational journey at VMRF institutions an enriching and gratifying experience for our student community. VMRF stands as a unique entity in India, proudly boasting the establishment of three medical colleges, one dental college, and two engineering colleges, alongside other institutions in paramedical and homoeopathy disciplines, and an Aviation Training Academy. We invite the young Boys and Girls to empower themselves by joining our Institute by gaining the quality education and training in the field of Aviation, by exposing themselves to the latest Aircraft Technologies, via sophisticated equipped laboratories, pressurized Heavy Aircraft Lear Jet powered by two turbo Jet engines, High-tech Avionics system and highly qualified Instructors. In recent years the numbers of Indian domestic passengers have grown at high rate, despite the recession in the economy as per the recent released statistics. Many International Airlines are voluntarily investing in the domestic airlines that seek the phenomenal growth in the Aviation Industry. The Indian regulations are being changed to be at part with International regulations. Indian Aircraft Maintenance Engineers will deserve even better place in International Aviation Employment sector. Due to tremendous developments there has been a heavy demand for qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in Aviation sector, but even today there is a shortage of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in the Aviation field and this shortage will become more acute as more Airlines start operations. In near future the growth of Aviation Industry will be affected by the shortage of qualified AME’s.
